Stop The HIT Coalition Statement on
Need for HIT Repeal in Final Senate Health Care Legislation
The Stop The HIT Coalition, which represents millions of small business owners, their employees and the self-employed, issued the following statement on the need for repeal of the Health Insurance Tax to be included in final Senate health care legislation.
“As the Senate moves forward with ongoing debate on health care reform, America’s small business owners strongly urge Washington to keep their promise to millions who depend on immediate relief from the ACA’s health insurance tax. With small business owners and middle-class families facing a $14.3 billion tax hike in 2018 alone, Congress must take urgent action now to repeal the health insurance tax once and for all. There is already bipartisan consensus on the need for repeal, and now is the time for Congress to protect millions of small business owners and their employees from this harmful tax.”
